Moxi stroller from 4moms is a recent stroller that is high on technology as well as features. Headlights, LCD dashboard, several seat modes, and more.
Moxi stroller: Review
Now here’s a baby stroller that will make parents take notice, it can keep your mobile phone charged, thanks to the power generated from its wheels.
Finding a reliable place to recharge your phone is always a high priority, despite you being in the city (and not some in remote part of the world).
The 4moms Moxi stroller comes with built-in generator (in the rear wheels) that can power your headlights and taillights (comes in handy when there’s less visibility) and of course it can charge your batter as well.
The power is sent to a USB port in the handle, from where your device can be charged.
Its just that the wheels have to keep moving for the generator to generate power, which means you need to take a stroll for some time.
You will also get an app long with the stroller that can track fitness-related things such as how far you’ve walked, how many calories you’ve burned, battery level, outside temperature, and so on, which you can see on the LCD screen.
The Moxi stroller from 4moms uses the kinetic energy of its wheels, generated by walking with your child, to charge your phone, light your path with headlights and track your distance on an LCD screen.
Now you can use this stroller to get more out of your trips to the park.
- The seat on Moxi can reorient in three different ways. It can face forward or backward, and it can lie flat for young infants (this feature is usually found only on high-end strollers).
- It comes with an LCD screen that displays distance traveled.
- It comes with headlights, but they don’t seem strong enough, although parents are unlikely to venture outdoors after dark with their children (probably will need it to go under a small tunnel).
“For the past 11 years, we’ve been working hard to develop safe and innovative products that disrupt the baby gear industry and make the lives of parents easier. The moxi stroller brings technology capabilities to a product category that has otherwise maintained the status quo for decades. The design and function put moxi in a class by itself,” said Rob Daley, CEO and co-founder of 4moms.
Motivates You to Stroll More With the Moxi
You can see your walking speed, distance, and calories burned. The 4moms app shows dots representing your trip – larger dots for longer walks and so on. The app will also show you your strolling habits along with the trip history statistics – traveled, calories burned by week and month, and so on. It’s sort of a basic fitness tracker built in to your stroller that motivates you to get outdoors and do some walking.
Conversion and Compatibility
What moms will like the most is that the Moxi’s seat can convert in to a lay-flat bassinet (for infants). Doing so is eay, just use the lever at the top of the backrest, and unbuckle two straps on the seat’s underside, that’s it…takes less than than 10 seconds to do so.
The Moxi is compatible (via adapter) with the 4moms infant car seat, the Maxi Cosi Mico Max 30 and Mico AP, the Cybex Aton 2 and Platinum Aton Q, the Chicco KeyFit 30, the Britax B-Safe 35, 35 Elite, and 35 Elite XE. As you can see, there are lots of of car seat options.
For infants, its best to have the baby laying down for longer strolls.
