How to use Baby Stroller in a manner that will keep your child comfortable. Here’s an easy to understand guide on how to assemble a stroller, how to attach the various components and how to use the major functions of a stroller. Also find how to fold prams and strollers. A baby stroller keeps your baby safe, comfortable and protected. Here’s more on how to use a stroller efficiently and easily, in case you have never used a baby stroller before.

Things to Remember

  1. Read Manufacturer’s Instructions
If you’ve just purchased a baby stroller, make sure to read the manufacturer’s instructions. This is important to identify different parts and components of your stroller. Some baby strollers have a modular design. This indicates that their seats can be separated from their frames.

If you own a modular stroller, the user manual will help you determine how to assemble or disband it efficiently.

  2. Get the Stroller Ready for Use
Most baby strollers are equipped with special hooks or connectors that keep the stroller together. Read through the manufacturer’s instructions to unlatch these hooks in order to unfold the baby stroller. Once unfolded, bring the stroller to its right position and lock its wheels.

You can find brakes using your foot and push them down. You may have to apply some pressure with your foot to engage the brake system. Some baby strollers produce a “click” sound to indicate the position of locked wheels. Repeat the same locking procedure to the other rear wheel.

  3. Carry Essential Baby Gear Along
Add the necessary stuff you want to carry to the storage compartment or under seat basket. Some stroller baskets are large enough to accommodate a changing bag or other baby gear. You can store diapers, baby wipes, bottles and other important stuff. Moreover, you can clip these items to your baby stroller so that you don’t have to carry individual things.

Many modern baby strollers also feature cup holders and smartphone cradles for adults. This will offer you additional comfort as you can use your baby stroller to store your own valuables.

  4. Adjust the Stroller Seat, Use the Safety Harness
Set the stroller seat in such a way that it’s not in a reclining position. Lift your child and place him or her gently into the baby stroller. Their legs should hang downwards a little. Adjust the child safety straps and lock them. These straps should not be twisted.
  5. Use the Sun Canopy
Once you’ve fastened all security buckles, fold the given sun canopy to keep your child protected from sun rays. Recline the baby seat to the desired position.
  6. Release Wheel Locks & Get Moving
When you’re ready to move, release the locks of both wheels. Place your shoe tip beneath the wheel locking mechanism and exert some pressure. This may produce a “click” sound. You are now ready to stroll and have fun with your child.

More things to remember.

  • Never leave your child attended
  • Use the sitting position after the child has turned six months of age.
  • Lock the wheels to the stroller, when parked
  • Check the instructions in the manual to Unfold/prepare the stroller for use.
