Now Aston Martin makes baby strollers as well

Aston Martin, the brand known for its sports cars that are seen in most James Bond films, will now be making baby strollers as well.

It seems Aston Martin now want to sell all things luxury, and don’t want to be restricted only to making slinky performance cars.

The new store that has come up in London’s exclusive Mayfair district will now sell baby strollers, bags, and more. Aston Martin baby strollers will cost around $4k.

Aston Martin teamed up with Silvercross to design the stroller. An exclusive aluminium and magnesium alloy chassis mirrors that of an Aston Martin car, while the Alcantara and leather seat could be straight out of a DB9. More features include an Aston Martin carry cot, racing harness and buckle protector pads, winter ‘performance’ fabrics to keep out the elements and a folding detachable shopping basket.

The stroller is an Aston Martin for BABIES. It’s practical and easy to clean – a kind of licence to spill. The ideal vehicle for tots who take rusks.

The store is Aston Martin’s biggest effort to date to establish the brand as a purveyor of all things luxury. It will sell ornamental bowls, baby strollers, weekend bags, and more.

“Wouldn’t it be great if you’re down in a luxury harbor somewhere staying in an Aston Martin apartment, with your Aston Martin parked in the car park, and your Aston Martin boat harbored outside,” Chief Executive Officer Andy Palmer said in an interview.

Some time back, Aston Martin built baby stroller was listed on eBay for an eye-watering price of £2,750, as per this report. The Aston Martin baby stroller was described as ‘James Bond-esque’ by the seller, but came with the unique number 005 as opposed to the fictional spy’s 007 code name.
